Our Wine Varietals

Although the U.S. does not have as long a wine tradition as some European countries, it still produces high-quality wines that rival their European counterparts. Due to liberal regulations, viticulture in the US, it is also ideal for experimental winemakers! We are pleased to offer some of the best grape varieties, all grown in California.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the so-called Cépages Nobles. Many wine experts refer to Cabernet Sauvignon as the noblest and potentially the best red wine variety ever! Californian Cabernets impresses with its intense fruit aroma, a medium-bodied structure and is considered the cult wine of the country. The aroma of blackcurrants (cassis) is accompanied by notes of cedar wood, green pepper and the deep dark color of the red wines.
Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is a red grape variety that produces the best results in cool and temperate growing regions. Depending on the growing region and ripening, it can produce very different wines. Cool regions of California produce Pinot Noirs with a rounder style, juicy fruit and subtle extra sweetness.
Merlot
If you are looking for a velvety red wine, Merlot is for you. Originally from the south of France, it is the perfect wine for those who like it fruity and smooth. Merlot is so popular that it is grown in almost every wine region in the world. Merlot fills the palate with juicy fruit, velvety tannins, a silky texture and a subtly bitter finish.
Syrah
Syrah is a red grape variety that originated in the Rhône Valley in France, but has spread to all warm growing regions in recent decades. The spicy wines, also known as Shiraz, taste of dark berries, plum and pepper. A young Shiraz is a dense blue-red, with the color of the more mature vintages progressively changing to a dark red to brown-red.
Red Blend
Our Red Blend is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Both are often found in a classic Bordeaux Blend and make a wonderfully rich and expressive wine. Unlike a Bordeaux blend, a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon - Merlot fusion is dominated by wonderfully tasty dark berry fruit, there is a finely balanced finish with slightly earthy notes to tempt the palate.
Chardonnay
No other white grape variety is as successful around the world as Chardonnay. Whether in a cool environment or in the heat, Chardonnay's character palette ranges from mineral-light to exotic-aromatic. On the nose, it ranges from citrus aromas to apple, pear and peach to tropical aromas or notes of butter, hazelnut and vanilla.
Symphony
A grape variety you may have never heard of, but is sure to delight! It is a cross between Muscat d'Alexandrie and Grenache Gris and is only grown in small quantities in California. It is typically made as an off-dry or late harvest wine with aromas of honeysuckle and gardenia.
White Zinfandel
Zinfandel arrived in the U.S. in the first half of the 19th century, became popular in California from 1850, and owes its name to an error! These very bright rosés have lots of fruit and often a noticeable sweetness, sometimes convincing freshness.
